Looking for the Grove of Carrots... In the Wrong Places

(Wombat seems to be searching for something important when he stumbles upon a creature...)

Wombat: "Oh! Hello!"

Fox: "Hi, sorry!"

Wombat: "That's ok."

Fox: "What are you doing all the way out here?"

Wombat: "Looking for my friends."

Fox: "Why?"

Wombat: "None of your business."

Fox: "I see. Well I got to go now. My friends are going to do... Something cool... I think..."

Wombat: "Ok..."

Fox: "Well actually, I have no idea if they are doing anything, I just thought they might be and they haven't told me yet."

Wombat: "... I'm going to go now..."

Fox: "Wait! Can you do something for me?"

Wombat: "I guess."

Fox: "Come here."

(Wombat is led by the Fox through the brush...)

Fox: "See that hole over there."

Wombat: "Yeah."

Fox: "Can you guard it for me? I am suppose to be guarding it right now."

Wombat: "Why would I do that?"

Fox: "So I can go out with my friends."

Wombat: "But you have no idea if they are going anywhere."

Fox: "Yeah."

Wombat: "And you want me to sit here and stop looking for my friends just to let you see if your friends are going out tonight?"

Fox: "Yep."

Wombat: "I think you are an idiot. I am looking for my friends, which are probably worried sick about me, and you want me to stop what I'm doing JUST to let you FIND OUT if you are going out with them?

Fox: "Yep, I'll see you later!"

(Fox disappears into the Brush)

Wombat: "Wait! Why am I guarding this?!"

(The Fox's head emerges only briefly.)

Fox: "Because I saw a rabbit go down there and someone needs to make sure they don't escape."

Wombat: "There are rabbits here too?! Hey! Wait! Come back!"

(Fox disappears)

Wombat: "... I think I just got screwed over."

(The Wombat freezes as he spots a rabbit head poke out from the hole. It looks either way, clearly looking straight through the Wombat, then disappears from view once again. The Wombat silently whips out his .22 S&W ready for a clean shot, but several minutes pass without another sighting... Then a half-hour... Then an hour... Then two hours...)

Wombat: "This is going to be a long night... As soon as that Fox comes back I'm making sure it knows what it feels like to be shot in the face... nah... that would be too nice..."
