Opening - Platypus and Moth United

Woman of Optimism: "There was the soft sounds, inaudible to everyone. They soothed the noises of the thalamus. Flight was taken with us all, even if you didn't know you existed. We had marvelous adventures full of optimistic rabbits and turtles. There was a platypus on the edge of the world..."

Man of Desperation: "We told him to decide with himself. There couldn't be anyone like that, seriously. If the animal would just decide what to ----ing be then it would be settled. No more inconsiderate words. No more mammalic abortions. No way to explain the unexplainable. Yet enjoyable as it may seem to the weak, there can be circumstantial evidence to the turmoil we face everyday of our pathetic, worthless lives..."

Woman of Words: "Indeed, we shall approach the problem. The answer does not lie in the ability to apprehend the articulate owls. 'Shall we dance?' would be a suitable antiphonal to the decrepit minds. Avoidance is the elucidation, yet you seem to be absent with an appropriate reopens to the owl's constant questions..."

Woman of Speech: "But don't you see it guys? The ones we want to share everything with aren't the ones we share anything with in the first place. Come on, there are exceptions. The fact is the ones we don't like are the ones who make us feel uncomfortable. Mainly the issue is that we don't want to be around them much anyhow. Things they say are just 'shot down' and jokes are just politely 'Heh heh..'-ed. Too bad we aren't all the same, then no one would have to deal with being at the bottom; but there isn't much left to talk about after that so there should be a difference somewhere..."

Man of Leadership: "We wanted so many people to be happy that no one ended up to be that way. The leader has got to be careful not to let anyone know that they are the 'leader'. If there is a discovery of leadership then everyone wants to be the leader. If anyone wants to be a leader they should just shut up and do what they are told. Eventually they will become what the want. Just wait until you have a chance they're told..."

The Lawyer: "So the point is that we are all part of a system right? There is a mandatory placement we have in our clicks that we have to abide to. There just doesn't seem to be much room for us to develop socially unless we stand up for ourselves. For example, there aren't many people in this room who would be considered 'perfect' or 'ideal'. We are very stereotypical when it comes to judging a man or a woman. We want to see the aggressive 'man' and the perfectly shaped 'woman' that we try to hard to b..."

(A man in the distance shouts "Get to the point.")

God: "Static fills the empty noises. Why can't they hear the soft whisper of the winds of old? The buzz is agrrivating my senses. Let the music play. Define the world. Play now, Rear Moth...dance to the twilight..."

Kyle, in complete seriousness, this is absolutely brilliant. It's my favorite thing of all Kyle-Writings. Wow. Really. It's a striking piece and REALLY GOOD writing.

And, "There was a platypus on the edge of the world..." is the best line ever.

I think I'll have to reread this a few times. It is SO GOOD.

Kyle, your wording is very... inventive when you want it to be. I suppose that's all I can really say. :P-anyone wonder if Hillman actually reads these comments?
